School Book Fair: Project Management + Personnel Training & Supervision + Budget & Resource Management + Graphic Design & Marketing

Project Overview- Chaired the Beaubien Elementary Book Fair for nearly 11 years, growing it into one of the region's largest school book fairs by merging two separate fairs into a single large-scale event. Generated $150,000 in cumulative revenue for a school where up to 40% of students were economically disadvantaged. All profits were directed to classroom books, with every teacher receiving a $125+ shopping budget annually.

Coordinated 30–50 volunteers per event with varying availability, developed all branding, signage, visual merchandising, talking points, social media marketing, and organizational systems from scratch.

The documentation binder and branding created for this event was turned over to the school principal upon completion of tenure and continues to guide the event today.

Role- Project Manager & Creative Director — 13 years

This binder held everything needed to keep the Book Fair running smoothly year after year. Photos helped new volunteers get up to speed quickly, ensuring a seamless operation.

The parent bilingual committee was asked to cater lunches as a way to foster a sense of community, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families in the school, regardless of language skills.

Staying within the school budget required designing innovative promotional and organizational systems at zero cost.
